FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
EAST LANSING, Mich. (June 24, 2022) —Fresh off of winning Best Of Show at FinovateSpring 2022, Spave® is earning media attention throughout the banking and fintech space.
Spave demonstrated its one-of-a-kind financial wholeness technology at last month’s Finovate conference. Finovate events are attended by leaders in both the fintech and banking industries, and are considered to be showcases of the best solutions and innovations both industries have to offer.
“It was the collective effort of our team that did the trick,” shared Susan Langer, Spave’s CEO. “Sarah York, Chief Marketing and Digital Officer, imagined the killer promotional strategy and Christen Wright, our Head of Product, designed and delivered a compelling demo. We also received great coaching from Finovate’s veteran host, Greg Palmer. It was a winning combination.”
Since being one of six to take top honors at FinovateSpring, Spave has been featured in several publications and by various organizations, including:
- Best Innovation Group (BIG): BIGcast Podcast — Finovating into the Headwinds
- FinTech Magazine: MSUFCU — A year of fintech innovation and collaboration
- Minne Inno Fire Awards
- Nonprofit Hub: The Good to Growth Podcast — Technology as a Vehicle for Purpose
- Finovate Podcast
At FinovateSpring 2022, Spave distributed chocolate bars to the hotel rooms of Finovate attendees. The chocolate bars were wrapped in custom labels that included a QR code directing attendees to a special landing page created just for Finovate attendees, so that they could better familiarize themselves with Spave.
Spave partnered with Tony's Chocolonely to execute this promotion at Finovate . Tony's, like Spave, is inspiring social good; Tony's Chocolonely is a sustainable brand that is dedicated to making chocolate that is 100 percent slave- and child-labor free. At Spave, everything is purpose-driven, so it was important to work with Tony's Chocolonely.
As part of its Finovate demonstration, Spave asked those in attendance to participate in making their own world of difference. Using a special landing page created ahead of FinovateSpring 2022, Spave invited demo viewers to enter into a drawing to win $1,000 for themselves and $1,000 for a charity within their community. Sorayda Santos, of California Credit Union, won that $1,000 drawing, and, by extension, her charity of choice, San Diego Youth Services, won $1,000 too. Santos chose to donate her winnings, as well, so San Diego Youth Services received a $2,000 donation from Spave. It was a win for Santos, a win for the charity, and a win for the community. With Spave, everybody wins.
