FinovateSpring 2022 just wrapped up in San Francisco, and Spave is proud of and excited by the experience.
Spave's demo was selected as Best Of Show. It was exhilarating and humbling to receive such honors from Finovate, whose events are known for showcasing the best in FinTech innovations and the best of our industry. It was also gratifying to see that Spave's story and mission to transform spending for good is resonating. We're grateful for having had the opportunity to share that message with so many in the financial institution industry. And, along the way, Spave earned some great attention from trade publications, and we're grateful for that, as well.

Given the magnitude of a Finovate conference, we wanted to make a lasting impression. So we started FinovateSpring 2022 out by having chocolate bars from Tony's Chocolonely delivered to the hotel rooms of Finovate attendees. We created custom labels on the chocolate bars that included a QR code directing attendees to a special landing page we created just for our Finovate colleagues, so that they could better familiarize themselves with Spave.
Everything we do at Spave is purpose-driven, so it was important to us to partner with Tony's Chocolonely for this. Tony's, like Spave, is inspiring social good; Tony's Chocolonely is a sustainable brand that is dedicated to making chocolate that is 100 percent slave- and child-labor free. We're grateful to have Tony's as a partner.
We demonstrated our one-of-a-kind financial wellness- and social good-inspiring tech on the first day of FinovateSpring 2022 and were inspired by the reception we received. The event is attended, of course, by many leaders in both the FinTech and financial institution industries, so it was even more meaningful to us to be received so warmly.
As part of our demonstration, we asked those in attendance to participate in making their own world of difference. We had built a special landing page ahead of FinovateSpring 2022, and during our demonstration we used a QR code to direct viewers there, asking them to enter into a drawing to win $1,000 for themselves and $1,000 for a charity of within their community. Sorayda Santos, of California Credit Union, won that $1,000 drawing, and, by extension, her charity of choice, San Diego Youth Services, won $1,000 too. Santos chose to donate her winnings, as well, so San Diego Youth Services is receiving a $2,000 donation from Spave! It was a win for Santos, a win for the charity, and a win for the community. With Spave, everybody wins!
